Looking for information about Making Memories on Grace Avenue? CLICK HERE
Making Memories is a free “day out” program for those suffering with the early stages of dementia or Alzheimer’s. Caregivers are welcome to stay, but we exist to provide this time as a period of rest from the demands of care-giving. We have a 2:1 volunteer to participant ratio, creating a safe and loving environment. Activities during Making Memories aim to exercise the mind & body while boosting self esteem.

PURPOSE of HEART Adults
The purpose of HEART Adults is to unify the Senior Adults at Grace Avenue UMC so they can work together toward the mission and ministry of the church.

If you are 55 years old or older, some people call you senior citizens, empty-nesters, senior adults or mature adults. At Grace Avenue, you are HEART Adults! You are "Helpful, Experienced, Active, Reaching-Out and Thankful" working in God's Kingdom. It doesn’t matter what Sunday School class you attend, if you serve on a committee, if you are in the choir or participate in Bible studies...you are all HEART Adults. Yes, you are an “age-group,” like our children or youth, but more importantly, you are a vibrant, contributing part of this Church. HEART Adults at Grace Avenue are devoted to learning, serving, planning and living more active and exciting lives!

Here is a sample of what HEART Adults at Grace Avenue are doing:

LEGENDARY LUNCH
First Wednesdays of the Month, 11am – 12:15pm, Local Restaurants

Join us for our new monthly gathering for retired men. There is a short program with the primary focus being enjoying food and fellowship. Please register by the Monday prior to the Wednesday event by e-mailing by e-mailing adults@graceavenue.org or complete this FORM.

Te Amo Team
The Te Amo Team spends time visiting with those in assisted living facilities who can not get out. We assure that those on our list receive a weekly visit from the team. HEART Adults coordinate and lead this effort.

Satisfy your sense of adventure and join us for day excursions to museums, historical sites and other fascinating locations.

Eating Out with HEART Adults
HEART Adults love to gather for meals together. We meet at different restaurants throughout the year for dinners and fellowship.

Social/Fellowship Activities
Ice Cream Socials, Movie Nights, Game Nights and More! We do it all!

Men’s & Women’s Retreats
Every year in the spring Grace Avenue holds separate Men’s and Women’s retreats. These are great times for reflection, study, fellowship and spiritual renewal. HEART Adults are valuable participants in these retreats.
