Drop off in the Narthex or Learning Center Lobby.
LIFT MINISTRY: Grace Avenue’s Hispanic Ministry Task Force led us into a new ministry last spring. This fall, we will continue our partnership with LIFT (Literacy Instruction for Texas) by expanding to 3 classes. Many of our volunteers are continuing to help, but we will need additional volunteers to teach or be assistants in classrooms where adults are learning the basics of the English language. The commitment will be once a week on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 6–9:00 pm beginning September 7th for 11 weeks. Training will be available. If interested in this exciting ministry, contact Laura at laura@graceavenue.org or 972-335-2882, ext 506. Adult volunteers do not need to be bilingual, just have a desire to teach or assist others learning a new language. Childcare will be available for volunteers.
Come Join The GANG: The Grace Avenue Networking Group will help you improve your skills in interviewing, networking and writing a resume. We offer support in your job search. Join us on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm upstairs in Room 215. Contact Jan Barnett at jan.barnett@asdhealthcare.com or 214-686-2908.
