The music of Grace Avenue United Methodist Church encompasses a wide range of genres and ages. In our traditional and contemporary worship services, we have developed an authentic style that is uniquely Grace Avenue. God's love is shared by the most willing of hearts through Heart and Soul, our school of creative arts, all of our children's choirs, youth choir, adult choir, Saturday evening worship band, and our very own Grace Avenue Band.

The Grace Avenue Band is pleased to announce the release of our newest project. "Christmas on Grace Avenue" is a collection of some of our most loved Christmas traditions at Grace Avenue. It also includes original songs by Laurie Hanson Roberts and arrangements by Pete Miller and Doug Cuny. Assisted by members of the Grace Avenue Adult Choir, this recording is sure to be a blessing during the Advent and Christmas seasons.

GRACE AVENUE ADULT CHOIR

Grace Avenue has always had a commitment to musical excellence;   the adult choir is the heart of the program. Under the direction of Laurie Hanson Roberts since its inception, the choir has grown from 12 to over 50 singers, who enjoy leading worship for our dynamic congregation.

The Adult Choir is a supportive fellowship of friends who have become family.  Through this family there are
opportunities for spiritual, personal and musical growth. We are always open to new members.

The Grace Avenue choir presents 2 – 3 major programs each year.  They enjoy a wide range of repertoire from Vivaldi’s Gloria to Robert Ray’s Gospel Mass.   Rehearsals are on Wednesday evening from 7:00 – 8:30.  Childcare is available.  You’d look great singing with the choir!!

GRACE AVENUE HANDBELL CHOIR

SABBATH WORSHIP

We are looking for those who are interested in helping to lead our Saturday evening worship service by singing or playing guitar or keyboard. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 8:30-9:15pm. For more information, contact Kevin Holliman at Kevin.Holliman@advancedergonomics.com.

CHILDREN'S CHOIRS (PRAISE KIDS!) - Kicks Off September 9, 2012

Do you like to sing?  Play Games?  Learn new instruments?  Then Praise Kids is for you!  Come and join us on Sunday afternoons from 3:30 – 5:00 as we begin a new phase in the life of Children’s Choirs.  Children who are 3 years old as of September 1, 2012 – 5th grade are invited and encouraged to come and spend time with us as we rotate through singing, playing instruments, and participating in fun, active games each week.

VOICES OF GRACE YOUTH CHOIR

The Youth Choir rehearses on Sunday afternoons from 4-5:00pm in the Youth Room.  They present a major musical in the spring and sing in worship services throughout the year.  All youth, 6th-12th grade are invited to come.  For more information, please contact Bill Roberts at billroberts@graceavenue.org.

HEART AND SOUL

This is our school of creative arts which offers private and group lessons for all ages. Instruction includes voice, piano, guitar, bass guitar, banjo, flute, violin and trumpet.
