Advent Meditations
 Thursdays at 7 pm | Dec. 1, 8, & 15
Led by Laurie Hanson Roberts
Take a few moments out of the busy Advent/Christmas season to reconnect with your innermost self. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season, but by taking purposeful time to stop and breathe, you will find that you can navigate the busyness much more productively.

We will focus on a different word each week: hope, peace, joy, and love. Come and find new ways to center the body and the mind. Contact with questions.

Date Night: Navigating the Holiday Jungle Together
Friday, December 9th | 6:30-9:00 pm
For some, the holidays bring anticipation and joy.  For others, the holidays bring the weight of expectations and stress.  The holidays don’t have to be like a game of Survivor.  Dr. Terry Parsons, author of The Intimacy Jungle:  How You Can Survive and Thrive in a Lasting Marriage, will be with us offering insights about navigating the Holiday Jungle as a team.  This evening will be a gift that you can offer one another as we learn how to support and encourage one another through the holidays.

Dinner will be catered by Olive Garden.  Gluten free and vegetarian options available. Cost for the evening is $30 per couple.  Childcare available upon request.

Contact Laura Echols-Richter at with questions.

Music Sunday
Sunday, December 11th during Worship
the Sanctuary Choir will be presenting American composer, Dan Goeller’s, The Word Became Flesh at both the 9:15 and 10:30 worship services.

The Word Became Flesh is a musical exploration of the doctrine of the Incarnation. The work begins with creation and God’s perfect plan for fellowship with humankind. This divine plan, interrupted by The Fall, continues with God promising a Savior who will save His people from their sins. The story ends with a glorious celebration of the birth of this Savior, Jesus, the Word Incarnate.

Join us during the 10:30 service for a “Good Ole Fashion Hymn Sing.”  The Modern Worship Team will lead us in some of our old and new favorites of the season.
