The Grace Avenue Adult Choir and principle characters will present Gian-Carlo Menotti’s operetta Amahl and the Night Visitors. It is the story of a physically challenged young boy and his mother who are visited by the three wise men on their way to find the Christ child. This beloved story is suitable for all ages and is something you won’t want to miss.

Amahl and the Night Visitors was the first opera commissioned especially for television by the NBC Television Opera Theater in New York City on December 24, 1951.

The Praise Kids (children’s choir ages K-5) will open the program with Becki Slagle Mayo’s anthem about the 3 wisemen, May My Light Shine.

Don’t miss this wonderful event that is capped off by the lighting of the Grace Avenue Christmas Tree followed by refreshments and a time for fellowship. This is a wonderful way to start the Advent season with your friends and family.
