Christmas Eve Worship 2020

In News by Kim Eiffert

As with most of 2020, things are going to look a lot different at Grace Avenue on Christmas Eve this year.  As we continue to navigate Covid-19 precautions and climbing case counts our first priority is to live into the call to do no harm.

On that holy night in Bethlehem our Savior entered into the darkness of the world, turned all expectations upside down, and showed us a new way to live and to love.  This year we intend to follow that example and open ourselves up to encounter Christ in new ways.  Our joyous celebration knows no boundaries of distance and tradition.  We will gather differently and we will worship differently, but our joy and our hope will remain.  Joy to the World!  The Lord is come!

Join us around the Grace Avenue Christmas Tree for the reading of the Christmas story, prayer, singing of Silent Night and ending with the passing of the light and Joy to the World.

These gatherings will be brief and are intended to be supplemental to our virtual Christmas worship experiences.

Please plan to adhere to safe-distancing and wear a face covering.  Feel free to bring your own candles and lighters if you prefer not to pass the light between families/groups.

Please note that we are making plans based on current information as we navigate a pandemic.  All plans are subject to change as conditions change.  The health of our members and our community is our greatest concern.
