“Common Good” Worship Series
January 31 - February 14, 2021
As our world faces one challenge after another it is tempting to turn inward and seek ways to fulfill our own wants and needs. That collective chaos and struggle of society feels daunting and we want to withdraw from the conversation. But as followers of Christ we are called to community. We are called to live in a way that serves not only ourselves but our neighbors. In I Corinthians 12:7 Paul reminds us that we are each specifically gifted to do this work, “A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person for the common good.” We aren’t all gifted in the same way, but it is in collaboration with God and with each other that we create a better world for all. Join us as we explore what it means to live together, to seek understanding, and to faithfully work toward the common good.
