A Conversation with Experts: Teen Depression & Suicide

A Conversation with Experts:
Depression, Suicide & Communicating Teens
November 26th
5:00-8:00pm

There is growing concern about teen depression and suicide in our community. Feelings of shame and confusion often silence the conversation. We can feel helpless, powerless, and ill equipped to help those who so desperately need it. It is important to begin to have real conversation about these issues, so we are hosting a dinner and opportunity for conversation with other parents. A panel of experts who work directly with students in our community will present insight, discuss subtle signs that are easily missed, help define terminology, offer tools to help engage in conversation with your student, and answer questions.

Students will have the opportunity to meet with a panel of experts in a separate room to have their questions answered as well. Our hope is that this meeting will not only be informative, but also lead to good, productive conversations at home.

Please invite friends and neighbors in the community for this important conversation.

Contact Christopher Vaughan at christopher@graceavenue.org with any questions.

Dinner will be served at 5:00 for $5 per person. Conversation and Panel Discussion will begin around 5:30pm. There is no cost to participate in the discussion.
