Frisco Family Services Summer Lunch Program
July 13-17, 2020
Frisco Family Services is feeding lunch to 150 school aged children in Frisco ISD at Bright Academy and at the Frisco Housing Authority. A weekend bag of food will be provided at both locations on Friday, July 17.
The FFS summer lunch program looks different this year due to COVID 19 with fewer volunteers and a drive through grab and go lunch at Bright Academy. At the Frisco Housing Authority the lunches are a drop off only lunch and we have filled those volunteer positions at this time.
Pick up of lunches will be at the back door of Tom Graves Hall at Grace Avenue UMC. A volunteer and or staff person will be at the door to welcome everyone.
Volunteers must be 18yrs or older, temperature taken, wear a mask (a mask will be provided if you do not have one) hands sanitized before entering the church to pick up items.
Volunteers Needed for:
Pick up lunches at Tom Graves Hall @ 11:00 and drop off @ Bright Elementary. On Friday you will have the lunches plus the weekend bags to pick up.
Grab and Go Lunches @ Bright Academy: Arrive at Bright [email protected] 11:15. Help distribute lunches until 12:30. There are no coolers this year. (Bring water, hat and sun screen)
Contact Mary Martin at [email protected] with questions.
This is different than the Grace Avenue Summer Lunch Program at Preston on the Lake that continues through August. We still need volunteers and donations for that program as well! CLICK HERE for details.
