Prayer Labyrinth
Monday, March 25th - Friday, March 29th
8:00am-8:00pm in the Worship Center

Walking the labyrinth is an ancient Christian tradition that combines prayer, meditation, and movement. There are many facets to this wonderful spiritual practice. In our fast-paced and hectic world, many people find it difficult to pray sitting still. The Labyrinth might just become your favorite way to pray.

On Friday the Stations of the Cross will be included with the Labyrinth.

If you are unable to join us in person for Communion, please contact Laura Echols-Richter at laura@graceavenue.org to explore options.

Maundy Thursday
Thursday, March 28th
Come and Go from 6:00-8:00pm

Please join us on Maundy Thursday for an Upper Room Communion experience. Just like the disciples gathered with Jesus so too will we gather in small groups of 12. When you arrive on Thursday evening please begin in the Worship Center.  The prayer labyrinth will be available throughout the evening.  As others arrive, we will take groups of 12 upstairs for a personalized communion experience around the table.

Good Friday Service
Friday, March 29
7:00pm in the Sanctuary
The Grace Avenue Sanctuary Choir along with the chamber orchestra will be presenting Dan Forrest’s REQUIEM FOR THE LIVING. This beautiful setting uses some of the traditional Requiem texts, while also incorporating some modern, liturgical texts. Traditionally, a requiem is a prayer of rest for the deceased. However, in Mr. Forrest’s innovative work, the prayer becomes a plea for those who are left struggling through the pain of this life. Both the text and the melodies represent a movement from grief to light and hope for the future.

This piece was purchased by the Grace Avenue Sanctuary Choir in memory of the Rev. Joyce Cravens. The chamber orchestra will be one of the largest that Grace Avenue has ever had. You don’t want to miss this meaningful presentation during Holy Week. The concert is free and open to the public.
