“Come to me, all you that are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Making Memories is a free “day out” program for those suffering with the early stages of dementia or Alzheimer’s. Caregivers are welcome to stay, but we exist to provide this time as a period of rest from the demands of care-giving. We have at least a 1:1 volunteer to participant ratio, creating a safe and loving environment. Activities during Making Memories aim to exercise the mind & body while boosting self esteem.

For more information about this program or to apply, please contact Laura Echols-Richter at [email protected]

Participants must provide their own sack lunch and must not require administering of medication while at Making Memories. Availability is limited. Please contact Laura Echols-Richter.

Making Memories at Grace Avenue welcomes all and is open to persons of all faiths.

All volunteers will be required to complete a background check and receive necessary training. We could not offer this program without the help of amazing volunteers.
