Screen Agers:  Next Chapter
Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience
Sunday, November 17th from 4:00-7:00pm in the Worship Center
Grace Avenue is hosting a screening of the documentary Screen Agers: Next Chapter followed by discussions led by licensed counselors.  The film examines the science behind teens’ emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.  Parents and teens are encouraged to attend together.  The cost is $20 for teens and $5 for teens.  (Grace Avenue youth will be given a voucher to cover the $5 cost.  This is open to all 6th-12th grade students.)

Grace Avenue Dinner Circles

Dinner Circles
Saturday, November 9th
Dinner Circles is a fun one-night event, and a casual way to enjoy a night out while getting to know your fellow members at Grace Avenue! We will coordinate groups of 7-10 people with one assigned as host. Each host will help to coordinate dinner at a home (potluck or catered) or at a restaurant. After groups have enjoyed their meal together, ALL groups come to the church for a shared dessert gathering at 8:00pm.

When we gather at a table, wonderful and meaningful conversations can take place.  On Monday nights beginning September 30, women of all ages and stages of life are invited to Gather @ the Table as we share in conversation and food.  Each Monday night Kristen Lane, Minister of Discipleship will guide the gathering as we share in conversation and life happenings.

Youth Wish List

Through the generosity of our 20 Next Capital Campaign, we recently renovated the Youth Ministry rooms at Grace Avenue. We would like to add some final touches to those renovations and we need your help! We are looking to add some TV’s, gaming systems, additional seating and some technology to help our volunteers lead lessons and other programs.

The F-Word Exhibition

The F-Word: Stories of Forgiveness

This exhibit is a thought provoking collection of arresting images and personal narratives exploring forgiveness in the face of atrocity. Drawing together voices from South Africa, America, Israel, Palestine, Northern Ireland and England, the exhibition examines forgiveness as a healing process, a path out of victimhood and, ultimately,
a journey of hope.
