Widen the Screen

In News by Kim Eiffert

Widen the Screen
September 12 – October 3, 2021
There is always more to the story. We tend, however, to focus on slight details from which we draw large judgments. From this we often get an inaccurate picture of who someone really is or what is really happening. These snap judgments can lead to the worst form of prejudice. God’s love always invites us to see a wider picture with deeper insight. God’s love moves us to connect and crossover into relationships that transform us and others.

Unstuck Worship Series

UNSTUCK
Worship Series
July 11-25, 2021
One of the most desperate feelings in the world is the feeling of confinement. Sometimes we feel stuck because our choices are very limited. Sometimes we feel stuck because we have too many choices. When we are stuck, either spiritually, emotionally or physically, we feel out of control and helpless. We long to breakout or breakaway.

The Bible is full of freedom stories. People who thought they were perpetually stuck discover there is a God who desires their liberation. Through faith they discover that with God nothing is impossible and nothing can hold them down or back when they realize God is with them.

Silver Link Ministry

In News by Kim Eiffert

Silver Link Ministry
The Silver Link Ministry at Grace Avenue provides weekly worship for residents of local assisted living facilities. This laity-led ministry focuses on offering a spiritual home beyond the walls of Grace Avenue’s buildings. Each week we offer a time of worship which includes prayer, hymn singing, Scripture, and a sermon or devotional. Occasionally we provide Communion.
