Parenting is not easy.  Join with other parents in all ages and stages of the journey as we learn from speakers and each other.  We will begin with dinner and then parents will begin their program while kids enjoy fun activities separately!

September 9 topic is The Overscheduled Family: How to find purpose in the busyness of life.  Kristen Lane, Minister of Discipleship with Families, will lead us through a discussion on how to find purpose when our days and calendars are filled to the brim with school, work, homework, sports, church, and extracurricular activities.

Frisco Helpers

In Our Stories by Kim Eiffert

Frisco Helpers

Even during this difficult time of COVID, the Frisco Helpers (FH) Ministry continued to provide household repair, maintenance, and safety services to the seniors and special-needs residents of Frisco. They placed a heavy focus on safety aids—grab bars in bath areas to provide support for those who are at risk for falling, installation of toilet safety frames and wheelchair ramps, and off-set door hinges to provide a safer and a more accessible environment.

Pumpkins on the Prairie 2020

In News by Kim Eiffert

Pumpkin Patch is Opening!
Oct 17-31, 2020
Pumpkins on the Prairie has been a beloved tradition in the Frisco are for over 15 years. Each year our neighbors come from miles around to share in the joy that a day outside in the fall weather brings to people of all ages. Families come for pictures, to find that perfect pumpkin, and just to be together. We have met thousands of local school children during field trips, celebrated birthdays, and absolutely loved every day of it.

In planning for the 2020 season we have been faced with how we can love our neighbors by keeping everyone as safe as possible and how we can love our neighbors by still maintaining this tradition for our community. In conjunction with the city of Frisco, we have made plans for a shorter season, with several other adjustments. We won’t be having the hayride, bounce houses and some other activities. We will still have photo ops, pumpkins, and a sincere welcome to everyone who comes to our patch this year.

While Pumpkins on the Prairie is going to be a little different this year, we are so excited to be opening and look forward to seeing everyone!

Mayfield Family – Joyfully Connected

In Our Stories by Kim Eiffert

Harper’s grandparents live out in the country so we visit often bringing them produce and sweet treats. We walk around their flower gardens and look for bugs, we bird watch, plant seeds and give great “air hugs”. Our visits have given us special, peaceful, yet still distanced, time with the grandparents without the added commotion of a big family event. The time with them has been very precious.
