Easter Offering 2021

In News by Kim Eiffert

Easter Offering 2021
Easter is the celebration of resurrection and new life. I believe this has never been more important than in 2021. Coming out of an entire year of uncertainty with the pandemic, we long for the new hope and possibilities that Easter brings.

In 2020 Grace Avenue pushed back against darkness, doubt and death with faith and generosity. Although our building was shuttered most of the year, our church never closed. Christmas Offering 2020

In News by Kim Eiffert

As 2020 draws to a close we find ourselves wondering; “Is there light at the end of the tunnel?” With the pandemic surging we hear news that a vaccine may be on the way and are hopeful that this crisis may soon come to an end.

Christmas, however, offers us of an even greater hope. The light we so desperately long for is the birth of a savior who is Christ the Lord. God’s light, Jesus Christ, cannot be overcome by any darkness or any crisis. While we may await a scientific solution, we need not wait for the opportunity to experience the light of hope, peace, joy and love in our current celebration of Christmas. That opportunity is upon us.

Grace Avenue United Methodist Church’s mission is to eradicate homelessness in whatever form it presents itself. Homelessness comes in many forms. We are called to ensure that every child of God has a spiritual home, an emotional home, and a physical home.We could not fulfill this mission without your generosity throughout the year. During this season of giving, we invite you to make a special Christmas Offering to Grace Avenue.
