UMCOR Donation

In News by Kim Eiffert

In recent weeks we have seen the effects of Hurricane Dorian’s devastation unfold in the Bahamas. We are currently watching as Tropical Storm Imelda is making its way through the Houston area and South East Texas and as we are still in the midst of hurricane season, there are more storms forming with paths that are not yet determined. As always we ask that you be in prayer for those affected by natural disasters and those who aid in the recovery efforts.

As part of our mission to eradicate homelessness in whatever form it presents itself, Grace Avenue supports  the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) as one of the most effective ways to respond to the homelessness caused by natural disasters. 100% of financial contributions made to UMCOR go directly toward assisting those in need. We would like to invite you to make a donation to UMCOR.

You can make your donation at the link below, you can bring your contribution to the church office, or you can place it in the offering basket during worship. Please make sure checks are clearly marked for “Storm Relief” or “UMCOR”.

If you have any questions about becoming a certified Emergency Responder with UMCOR or other ways that Grace Avenue can respond in the wake of natural disasters, please contact our Mission Minister, Mary Martin at mary@graceavenue.org.
