Wading Through the Wreckage:
Navigating Trauma in the Aftermath of Recent Events
Wednesday, May 10 / 6:30-8:00 pm
Grace Avenue Worship Center
Join us for a community gathering where we can begin to sift through the shards as we acknowledge and accept the mass violence that has taken place. We will provide education on how to support ourselves, our children and our neighbors as well as what to expect in the coming days, weeks and months. There will also be time for your questions to be shared and addressed. The discussion will be facilitated by Licensed Professional Counselors from Planting Seeds Counseling & Coaching who specialize in trauma.
Students in 6th-12th grades are invited to gather with a Planting Seeds Counselor to process or they can choose to hang out with Grace Avenue Youth Ministry Team in the Youth Room. There will be activities for elementary age children led by the Grace Avenue Children’s Ministry Team focused on Being Kind to our Neighbors. Safe space will also be provided for children to process feelings if needed. Childcare will be available for infants – PreK.
All are welcome. Please share with others in our community.
Our Sanctuary will also be open for prayer before, during and after the gathering.
