Christmas Gifts that Make A Difference
Available December 2nd-Decmber 17th
This year, give Christmas Gifts that Make a Difference to loved ones through donations to one of the missions that Grace Avenue supports. You will receive a card and information about the mission to give to your loved one, letting them know that their gift is making a difference in the world. Find us in the Learning Center Lobby and Narthex after worship or shop on-line.
This year we you will have the opportunity to support Czech Republic Mission, ZOE Ministry, God’s Child, Habitat for Humanity, Community Garden, ERT/Long-Term Disaster Recovery, GAUMC Endowment Fund, Journey of Hope & Rise Against Hunger.

Children & Youth Events
Thursdays, Dec 6th , 13th & 20th | 4:00-6:00pm | REGISTER
Children 4 years old-5th grade are invited to join us for a fabulous journey through the story of Advent! Children will participate in crafts, songs, and games and share a program for their families on the final night at 6:30pm. The cost is $15 per child for the three-week program. EDGE Christmas Party

During all Children’s Sunday School classes 2 years old- 5th grade. Children are invited to bring an un-wrapped gift of a new toy for children ages birth-18 who are currently hospitalized. We will celebrate the birth of Jesus with birthday cake, games, and the true meaning of Christmas.

As soon as Halloween is over, Christmas decorations and ads appear in stores, on-line and even in the entrances to our subdivisions. Come and join Laura Echols-Richter & Kristen Lane for an evening of dinner and conversation as we focus on slowing down to observe the fullness of Advent and the joy of Christmas differently this year! We will share our most loved traditions while inviting each other to something new. Laurie Hanson Roberts will share her gift of music. Come at 6:00pm for “Christmas Creativity” while we create something new for your home or as a gift (cost of supplies is $10). Sounds of the Season

The Grace Avenue Music Ministry invites you to come and experience the sounds of Christmas. All of our musical groups will come together to present beautiful music, sure to get you in the Christmas spirit! We will also be celebrating the 200th anniversary of the beloved carol, Silent Night. The evening ends with the official lighting of the Grace Avenue Christmas tree, followed by a time of refreshment and fellowship. This is a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season. You don’t want to miss it!
A Blue Christmas Service

The Christmas and winter seasons are a complicated and difficult time of year for many people. From mourning what has been lost, to what was never had, from life circumstances such as illness, the death of a loved one, unemployment, and the excess of expectation during the holiday season, this time of year can be a very “blue” season. Join us for a quiet time of worship and prayer that will involve lighting candles, scripture reading, a message of light in the midst of the darkness, and being together as a community.
The Grace Avenue Adult Choir

The Grace Avenue Adult Choir will present Antonio Vivaldi’s, GLORIA, in the Communion (8:30am), Foundation (9:45am) and Covenant services (11:00am) in the Sanctuary. The Choir along with a string quartet and soloists will present this joyous and beloved Christmas work . Come and be prepared to experience the sounds of Christmas.
Seasonal Music in the Worship Center

Come and experience the songs of the season in a unique and inspiring way during all of the Worship Center services this weekend.
