Christmas Gifts that Make a Difference

Children & Youth Events

Advent Adventure
Tuesdays, Dec 3rd, 10th  & 17th  | 4:30-6:00pm | REGISTER
Children ages 4 through 5th grades are invited to join us for a fabulous journey through the story of Advent!  Children will participate in crafts, songs, and games and share a program for their families on the final night of Dec. 17th at 6:30pm.   Contact Kim Johnson at [email protected] with any questions. The cost is $15 per child for the three-week program.

EDGE Christmas Party
Sunday, Dec 8th | 4:00- 6:00pm | EDGE Room
All 4th-5th graders are invited to celebrate the Christmas season by sharing in fellowship with their friends. Bring a $5 wrapped silly gift for our gift exchange, a snack to share, and wear your UGLY SWEATER!  Contact Kim Johnson at [email protected] with questions.  

Youth Christmas Party (JH & SH combined)
Sunday, December 15th | 4:00-7:00pm

All 6th-12th graders are invited to a Christmas party! We will have an  ugly Christmas sweater contest, a sugar cookie decorating contest, minute to win it games, and a white elephant gift exchange! Birthday Party for Jesus
Sunday, Dec 22nd during Sunday School

Children are invited to bring an un-wrapped new toy for children ages birth-18 who are currently hospitalized.  We will celebrate the birth of Jesus with birthday cake, games, and the true meaning of Christmas.

Service of Hope and Healing

While the holiday season is a time of joyous anticipation, festivities, and togetherness for many, others struggle this time of year. Many experience feelings of grief, loneliness, guilt, or loss. This service allows time and space to face our complex feelings with a sense of hope and to journey toward healing as we enter into Advent and Christmas.

Joy to the World Celebration & Tree Lighting
Sunday, Dec 8th | 6:00pm | Sanctuary
The Grace Avenue Music Ministry invites you to come and experience the sounds of Christmas. All of our musical groups will come together to present beautiful music, sure to get you in the Christmas spirit! We will also be celebrate the 300th  anniversary of the beloved carol, Joy to the World. The evening ends with the official lighting of the Grace Avenue Christmas tree, followed by a time of refreshment and fellowship.

The Grace Avenue Sanctuary Choir will present Part I of George Frederic Handel’s MESSIAH, in all 3 sanctuary services: 8:30am, 9:45am, and 11:00am. The Sanctuary Choir and soloists will present this joyous and beloved Christmas work.  Come and be prepared to experience the joyous music of Christmas.
